As a contractor to the federal government, Riverside supports agency missions worldwide. Our clients include: NOAA, USACE, USDA, NASA, USGS, USTDA, USBR, USAID, and FEMA. Riverside provides a diverse range of technical services to federal agencies incorporating science, engineering, program management, and information technology.
For example, Riverside is the prime contractor for the NOAA National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS) Technical Support, Systems Engineering and Engineering Services (TSSEES) contract and the National Weather Service (NWS) Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Services (AHPS) SETA contract.
Under the TSSEES program, Riverside is providing technical support and systems engineering services for the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) and the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite series R (GOES-R) system. Support for each includes:
- Strategic planning of satellite systems
- Systems engineering
- Configuration management
- Program control and administration
- Developing publications and presentations for public outreach programs
Through the AHPS contract, Riverside is providing support to the NWS developing and implementing hydrologic forecast systems. Much of the work involves using, enhancing, or implementing the National Weather Service River Forecast System (NWSRFS) throughout the United States and internationally. As the prime contractor for over 10 years, Riverside’s services on AHPS tasks include:
- Support to the NWSRFS model calibration
- Time series processing
- Input data needs development
- Forecast process recommendations
In Boulder, CO, as a sub-contractor for the NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory (ESRL), Riverside is providing services which include:
- Systems Management
- Systems Engineering and Architecture
- Network Engineering
- Security Certification and Accreditation (C&A)
- Relational Database Management
Other federal programs Riverside is providing support for include:
- Development and accelerated deployment for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Corps Water Management Systems (CWMS) in several Corps’ districts throughout the United States.
- Systems and program management support for NOAA’s Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) which supports climate observation systems and related management activities worldwide.
- Technical assistance for NOAA’s Integrated Data and Environmental Applications (IDEA) Center including developing requirements for environmental information products and assessing the computational and telecommunications systems necessary to facilitate public access to this information.
